I HEART MOOSIQ PREMIERE:

Ring in your weekend in the most fantastic way possible with some brand new Brandyn Burnette. I Wanna Be (Free) is a soaring, sweeping electronic pop ballad and yet another stirring number from the singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from St. Louis. The enchanting dazzler is very much a liberating experience with a crisp, expansive atmosphere and Brandyn’s intoxicating, smooth vocals. It’s a perfect accompaniment for spring and the approaching sun kissed summer, as an urge grows within me to dive into the vast ocean from a pristine beach. As before, Brandyn’s captivating delivery and his flawless composition evoke an engaging, sublime blend of John Mayer’s swooning sentiment and Jon Bellion’s genre defying sound. Brandyn Burnette self produced the melodic treat over the course of 6 months. I Wanna Be (Free) is about the simple feeling of wanting to be who you are, whether you’re old, young, gay, straight, an alcoholic, a stripper, a troubled teenager, or a parent, working 9-5. It’s a gorgeous song that speaks to anyone and everyone with ease.

A video for the inspirational gem will be coming in early May. I Wanna Be (Free) will also be available on Spotify soon, plus, it’s the lead single off an EP in the making, titled Made Of Dreams, to be released in early summer. Brandyn says that the record represents more than meets the eye, as its the first release since he left Warner Bros and his first foray into self-production. If I Wanna Be (Free) is any indication, he’s about to have a phenomenal year. Brandyn originally played the song for a trio of musicians named The Chemistri half a year ago, and they recorded bass and guitars on the spot for the track in a small studio space in west LA. Serendipity continued to work its magic, and an incredible artist named Miesa ended up freestyling the emotional melodies on the song’s bridge. I’m endlessly eager to hear the rest of the EP that has risen from Brandyn’s remarkable journey of self discovery and triumph.
